Why does this community exist & what do we do here...
AKA what's the end goal we're building?
What is this community?
That’s a bit of a loaded question, but at its core it’s a place I built because I needed it and it didn’t exist.
I like to call it a “high-discernment healing space”. Built specifically for survivors of relational trauma and people figuring out what CPTSD actually means for their real lives, I really think it has the potential to help a lot of people.
I call people like us “investigative healers”. We’re done being gaslit and are ready to look at how manipulation actually works, with clear eyes and no fancy language designed to obscure the truth.
We are LGBTQIA+ inclusive, bigot-free, and harm-aware because real healing doesn’t happen in a space where basic human rights are treated like a debate. We don’t just say we value safety here, but we collectively work to actively protect it by not tolerating intolerance.
Okay, but what do we actually do here?
We share the secrets that formerly kept us sick in ways that don’t retraumatize the spirits holding space to receive & hold our pain. We prioritize safety - both for ourselves and the people we meet and interact with inside and outside of this community by managing our words, being self-accountable, and repairing anything unintentionally damaged with a full apology and ongoing changed behaviour. We decode, deconstruct, and dig into the truth of the thought patterns, abuse conditioning, manipulation that contributed to the ways trauma found us on repeat, and we forgive ourselves for what we did to survive so we can build lives that can actually hold all of what we are again.
Cool, cool, cool, cool… right? But what does that look like?
1. We unmask how harm works. Using the “Think Like a Liar” framework, we look at manipulation for what it is. We study the red flags from our past - not to stay stuck in them, but to sharpen our discernment going forward. If you can spot the lies, abusive people have a harder time catching you off guard again.
2. We make psychology make sense. Clinical language shouldn’t feel like a barrier to understanding your own brain, behaviour, and body’s alarm system. We translate things like shame-based aggression, fawn responses, and relational trauma into plain language - because you deserve to understand what happened to you without needing a degree to decode it.
3. We practice safety in real time. This community is where we actually practice the things we’re learning - setting limits, communicating without projection, holding space for each other without trauma-dumping. Healthy interaction is a skill. We build it here together.
4. We build upward. CPTSD can feel like a permanent downward spiral of shame and isolation. The Spiral Up Method™ is how we work against that - sharing tools, resources, and real talk that moves us from surviving the aftermath toward actually mastering the recovery.
The short version?
We stop being the victims of our own story and start becoming the leaders of our lives… and, here, nobody has to decode the darkness alone here.
